Shopify SEO

Shopify SEO services

My Shopify SEO services are done inside your store, not delivered as a report. I work on collections and product pages, the theme, product data and the duplicate URLs Shopify creates, so your store is found for what it sells.

  • Changes made in your store
  • Reported in cart adds and purchases
  • Based in Indore, clients in India, the US and Canada

When you need it

Signs your Shopify store needs SEO work

Shopify handles hosting, sitemaps and canonical tags for you. What it leaves to you is where most stores lose their search traffic.

  • Collections do not rank

Collection pages have a title and a product grid, and nothing else that tells Google what the page is about.

  • One product lives at several URLs

Shopify shows a product under each collection it belongs to, and many themes link to those versions instead of the main one.

  • Filters and tags create thin pages

Filtered and tagged collection URLs get crawled and compete with the real collections.

  • Apps slow the store down

Each app adds its own scripts, and the store fails Core Web Vitals on phones.

  • Product copy comes from the supplier

The same description appears on many other stores, so yours has no reason to rank above them.

  • Products are missing from free Shopping listings

Product data is incomplete or disapproved in Merchant Center, so items do not appear in Google Shopping results.

Results

What store and product page work moved for clients

Every figure is from Google Search Console or GA4. These results come from across my client work and are not all from Shopify stores. Each project combined several kinds of work, so I do not credit one fix with the whole lift.

+45%

Purchases, D2C e-commerce brand

+73%

Cart adds, D2C e-commerce brand

+134%

Form submissions, D2C e-commerce brand

+321%

Form submissions, B2B manufacturing supplier

D2C e-commerce brand

An online retail brand had steady traffic, but too much of it left without buying. I mapped keywords across the catalog, updated content and meta tags to match buyer intent, and cleared the crawl and indexing issues keeping product pages out of results.

In GA4, cart adds rose 73% and purchases 45%.

Product pages for a B2B supplier

A B2B manufacturing supplier had product pages named the way the company talks, while buyers searched differently. After the pages were updated to match how commercial buyers search, form submissions rose 321%.

How it works

How a Shopify SEO project runs

  1. 1

    Audit the store

A crawl of the store, the Search Console reports, and a review of your theme, apps and product data.

  2. 2

    Decide what gets indexed

Collections, products, filters and tags sorted into index, canonicalise or block, with the reason for each.

  3. 3

    Implement

I make the changes in your Shopify admin and theme myself. Anything that needs custom code goes to your developer as a clear ticket.

  4. 4

    Monitor and report

Search Console watched after changes ship, and cart adds and purchases from organic search reported each month.

Straight answers

What you can expect, and what I will not promise

You can expect

  • Changes made in your store, not a document of suggestions
  • A clear rule for filters, tags and duplicate URLs
  • Search Console monitoring after changes ship
  • Reporting in cart adds and purchases, not only traffic

I will not promise

  • Guaranteed rankings
  • To change what Shopify fixes in place, such as its URL structure
  • That an SEO app alone will fix the store
  • First place above the big marketplaces for broad product terms

FAQ

Questions about Shopify SEO services

What are Shopify SEO services?

Shopify SEO services are SEO work carried out inside a Shopify store. That covers collection and product pages, the duplicate URLs Shopify creates, theme fixes, product structured data, store speed and the product data behind free Shopping listings. The aim is more sales from organic search.

Is Shopify good for SEO?

Yes, for most stores. Shopify handles hosting, security, sitemaps and canonical tags for you. Its limits are a fixed URL structure, duplicate product URLs under collections and themes that vary in quality. All three can be managed, and they are the first things I check.

Does Shopify create duplicate content?

It can. A product can be reached at its main URL and again under every collection it belongs to. Shopify adds a canonical tag pointing to the main URL, but many themes still link to the collection versions, which sends mixed signals. The fix is to point theme links at the main product URL.

Can I change the URL structure in Shopify?

Only partly. You can edit the last part of the address, called the handle, and Shopify can create a redirect when you do. The products, collections and pages folders in the address are fixed and cannot be removed.

Do I need an SEO app?

Usually not for the basics. Shopify lets you edit titles, descriptions and handles without an app, and schema is best fixed in the theme. Apps can help with bulk edits or redirects, but each one adds code that can slow the store, so I add one only when it earns its place.

Do you work with stores outside India?

Yes. I work with clients in India, the United States and Canada. I keep evening hours in India for calls with North America, and you can reach me on WhatsApp from any country.
